Twisted Damascus Knife by Master Saryal Bilyukin
Forged by master blacksmith Saryal Bilyukin, who brings over 30 years of experience to his craft, this knife showcases the beauty and precision of twisted Damascus steel. The blade is a blend of 52100, G51320, and 1066 steels—combined through traditional hand-forging techniques. It features a classic Sakha-style groove, honoring the regional knife-making heritage of Yakutia.
The handle is an exquisite composition of compressed and stabilized mammoth tusk, chosen for its distinctive grain and coloration. The guard is carved from mammoth bone, delicately adorned with traditional ornamental detailing. Just behind the handle, a brass-inlaid maker's mark signifies authenticity and craftsmanship.
The custom sheath is carved from dried Siberian birch, soaked in a special protective dye that enhances durability while preserving natural aesthetics. A mammoth bone insert decorates the sheath’s tip, with an additional bone element integrated into the belt loop opening, completing the piece with functional elegance.
This knife is a tribute to traditional Sakha knife-making, elevated by world-class craftsmanship and rare natural materials.
